Creative Skills Week 2024
THEME
The SACCORD combines SKILLS and ACCORDANCE by collecting skills intelligence and data to support the European Skills Agenda and facilitates collaboration and joining up of partners at European and regional level who have not previously worked together in supporting the Large-Scale Skills Partnership (LSP) on Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs). The SACCORD consortium aims to support, transfer and foster innovation and localisation of the Skills Partnership.

The PROGRAMME is launched! You can now register for in-person participation.
To attend the Main Programme you can register through the ticketing page on Eventix and purchase a ticket with a fee of €21.38 (including transaction costs). This symbolic fee is to avoid ‘no-shows’ and consequent waste of resources. The funds collected will be used to support local artistic activities and the allocation of funds will be reported after the event.
Please note that registering for a ticket to Satellite event(s) does not guarantee or work as a ticket for the Main Programme. You can register separately for a ticket to the Main Programme.

This session delves into the pivotal challenges and opportunities faced by the Cultural and Creative Industry Ecosystem (CCSI) in Europe and at a local level. As we navigate the dynamic landscape of skills and workforce development, we confront pressing questions that will be discussed by the panel and audience in an interactive setup.

CYANOTYPES partners invite participants to join the strategic skills development journey for the Cultural and Creative Sector and Industry Ecosystem. Following the introduction of the CYANOTYPES Creative Agency Framework and Training Curriculum, each session will dive deep into a workshop based on one of the 5 competencies and skills clusters.
5 parallel sessions
1. Collective Agency Cluster
The Collective Agency Cluster focuses on the capacity for shared action and cooperation beyond traditional boundaries, including the integration of non-human elements such as technology, animals, and ecosystems. This dimension encourages a holistic view of agency that incorporates diverse forms of interaction and impact on creative processes.
2. Public Agency Cluster
Public Agency emphasises the role of public actors and spaces in fostering regional transformation and innovation. It highlights the significance of public life and sector innovation, stressing the importance of anticipatory practices in public sector innovation for addressing rapid societal changes and crises.
3. Value Creating Cluster
Value-Creating Agency addresses the dynamics of value creation within the arts and creative sector, challenging traditional notions of value and exploring new models for organising value creation, such as the doughnut economy concept. This approach seeks to reconcile conflicts between artistic integrity and market dynamics by broadening the understanding of value.
4. Data Driven Cluster
Data-Driven Agency underscores the importance of data competencies and the design of data spaces for communication, organisation, and value creation. This dimension champions the framing of data and technology to empower creative individuals and organizations to envision and implement socio-technological systems effectively.
5. Green & Regenerative Cluster
Regenerative Agency Cluster advocates for a shift from sustainability to regenerativity, emphasising the need for actions that repair damage and foster renewal. This dimension encourages creative actors to explore and implement practices that contribute to ecological, social, economic, and cultural sustainability, promoting a comprehensive view of regeneration as essential for future creative work.

1. SACCORD & EU Creative Pact for Skills
SACCORD and the EU Creative Pact for Skills facilitate collaboration and joining up of partners at European and regional level. The Creative Pact for Skills launched a Manifesto and is behind the organisation of Creative Skills Week. All the organisations that support the Manifesto recognise the importance of thriving talents and skilled workers in the European Cultural and Creative Industries ecosystem and all its sectors. During this session, partners will share how and why to get involved in Local and European partnerships.

2. Fill the Skills Gap
This is a hands-on workshop session which applies gamification elements to identify and discuss the missing competences and skills.

3. How to make skills visible?
We acquire skills and competences throughout our education and work experiences. How do we recognize we possess these competences?
Speakers: Charlotte Gimfalk – YNFT – Screen Skills Committee Sweden.
4. How to curate an Artistic Investment Strategy?
In this session we will map, sketch and prototype artistic investment strategies. What financial instruments are most useful beyond the grant-making model? What are the challenges and opportunities of cultural impact investing? What creative skills and competencies are needed by both artistic entrepreneurs and investors? What advice would you give to potential investors looking to enter the creative sector from an impact perspective?
We will share our experience of investing in cultural entrepreneurs with a bold and artistic vision for the future, a solid business model and transformative impact. We will also share insights from our feasibility study for a new cultural impact investment fund.
This session is a contribution from the PACESETTERS project in collaboration with Martijn Blom from Impact Europe, Arthur Steiner from New Silk Roads and DOEN Participatie.
5. Mapping & Analysing the CCSI
Mapping, interpreting, and analysing the cultural and creative ecosystem involves reflecting the diversity in terms of sectors and sub-sectors, links to the value chain, the typology of agents engaged in this area, and the characteristics of the impacts and fundamental returns.

We begin the second day together in a vibrant new venue. During this dynamic plenary session, we will delve deeper into some of the central questions facing the Cultural and Creative Industries Ecosystems. We will anticipate future developments in the sector, share strategies on supporting and further developing the necessary skills and competencies, and explore everything from occupational profiles to new advancements in the use, application, and challenges of micro-credentials, as well as the potential impact of AI.

In this session, we will discuss experiences and initiatives related to the green shift and environmental transition. We will showcase examples of how the CCSI contributes to environmental goals and explore the skills and competencies necessary to drive the green transformation.
2. Digital Skills / Transition
In this session, we will discuss experiences and initiatives related to the digital transition. What are the skills and competencies necessary to drive this technological advancement? How is AI changing the CCSI?
3. Social Skills / Transition
In this session, we will share experiences and initiatives focused on diversity, equality, and inclusion in our sector. We will provide examples of how the CCSI impacts society and discuss the skills and competencies required to support societal transitions.
4. Skills for Cross-Sectorial Innovation
This session will explore how skills from cultural and creative industries drive development across sectors. Participants will discover practical models and tools for cross-innovation, offering new, innovative, and multidisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning.
5. Bridging the Gap: Cultural Entrepreneurship Skills
Raise awareness, decode and embrace entrepreneurship while developing a narrative around cultural entrepreneurship. Discuss issues faced by recent graduates from CCSI, demands from the business sector, and fundamental skills creatives should acquire. This session delves into how formal and vocational education can enhance value creation and knowledge acquisition, yet also addresses the additional skills needed.

1. Region & Local Skills Partnerships
SACCORD and the EU Creative Pact for Skills facilitate collaboration and joining up of partners at European and regional level. By collecting skills intelligence and data to support the European Skills Agenda, SACCORD and the EU Creative Pact for Skills During this session, different local communities share their know-how, failures, successes and experiences.
2. Micro-Credentials
Following the inputs in the plenary session, project partners dive deep into the world of Micro-Credentials, how are these used already, what’s the future potential, what are the advantages and limitations.
3. The impact of the CCSI in other sectors: Healthcare and Well-Being
In collaboration with the Health Humanities Laboratory (HHLab) of the Italian National Institute of Health (Istituto Superiore di Sanità), this session will explore the potential of the CCSI in other sectors. Specifically, we will examine the role of arts and culture in enhancing health and wellbeing.
4. Shaping Tomorrow’s Cultural Heritage
Participants will delve into the essential skills and competencies required across Europe’s cultural heritage sector. Strategies for effectively demonstrating the value of cultural heritage and fostering resilience and adaptability within the sector will be explored. Additionally, the session will address current and future requirements to bridge skills gaps between educational and occupational fields. Furthermore, the untapped potential of cultural heritage, particularly in rural and post-industrial areas, will be examined.
5. Radical Creatives
Movie screening: What is creativity? How are uncertain and seemingly impossible projects carried forward? The Radical Creatives documentary film explores these questions by showcasing individuals and teams who are challenging the status quo. The 58-minute documentary delves into how multidisciplinary creativity can be nurtured, taught, learned, and harnessed by both individuals and organisations.
