A community of change for creative skills

From Page to Pilot

2 min read

Following our partner meeting in Matera, pilot development has been in full swing. Building on the outcomes of the first-phase pilots, the CYANOTYPES Framework has been updated, fine tuned, and is now ready for its second-phase piloting, where partners have been refining their pilot concepts through one-to-one meetings.

Meanwhile, recruitment for the third-phase of the Framework testing has started. External organisations are being welcomed into the process through a series of onboarding webinars. These online sessions introduce the CYANOTYPES Framework and offer practical guidance for applying its methodology in diverse contexts.

The culmination of this effort will take place during Creative Skills Week 2025 in Prague, where an in-person CYANOTYPES Training will serve as the ‘final phase’ in onboarding external organisations. This two-day event will prepare them to pilot the CYANOTYPES Framework and its guiding materials, the CYANOTYPES Toolkit.

What Is a pilot?

A pilot is a series of activities, workshops, and training sessions that together form an iterative approach to create impact. Unlike a single activity, which is a onetime event – such as a workshop or a short training session, a pilot is a structured, multi-phase initiative that integrates various awareness-raising and learning experiences.

By embracing experimentation, iteration, and deeper learning over time, these pilots will leverage the CYANOTYPES Framework to ensure long-term effectiveness and scalability.

Each pilot will showcase how organisations can successfully apply the CYANOTYPES Framework in different contexts, helping the cultural and creative industries build adaptive skills ecosystems.

Many of the CYANOTYPES partners are running pilots across Europe in a variety of different contexts for a
variety of different outcomes. We are particularly keen to work with
ecosystems, networks, and organisations that wish to apply CYANOTYPES methods to upskilling, reskilling, and future-proofing creative sector competences.
