This pilot explores how the CYANOTYPES Inclusivity Guidelines can complement existing diversity and inclusion efforts at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. In exchanges with institutional diversity and inclusion experts and other colleagues, the guidelines were presented and reflected on in relation to the university’s context and needs.
The pilot confirmed that the guidelines work particularly well as a practical orientation tool for project teams, such as artistic research projects or other collaborative constellations, where there is often a lack of concrete guidance for everyday working practices. In this sense, their main potential lies in supporting teams in structuring inclusive ways of working within projects, in dialogue with the more comprehensive institutional strategies that are already in place.
