A community of change for creative skills

Utrecht Creative Community (UCC) is a collaborative network of cultural and creative professionals, organisations, and educational institutions in the Utrecht region. Its mission is to make lifelong learning and professional development accessible to freelancers, SMEs, and flexible workers in the creative sector. UCC provides resources such as workshops, funding opportunities, and networking events through its online platform. By conducting ongoing research into the sector’s needs and challenges, UCC develops targeted tools and programs. Supported by the Utrecht Talent Alliance and funded by the Province of Utrecht and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, UCC aims to foster a healthy and inclusive creative ecosystem.

Two UCC partners aim to collaborate within this CYANOTYPES pilot:

Fundamentals Academy, based in Utrecht, is a design institute and community that bridges education and the professional world. Together with Nimeto, a creative VET organisation, they aim to develop a social design hub in which students and makers can learn design skills, practical innovative work processes and collaborative skills to be able to work on societal challenges. Fundamentals Academy and Nimeto want to use the CYANOTYPES Framework, concepts and materials to create their collaborative design hub and its learning programs.
